Dawn started competing in the obedience ring 20 years ago in 4-H. A few years later, she added junior showmanship, as well as handling in the conformation ring for a Collie breeder. In 1999, she and her husband chose the Australian Shepherd as their breed of choice. Dawn now competes with her several Aussies, one schnauzer, and one border collie in agility, obedience, rally, and conformation. She is also the Boone County 4-H agility leader and is a 4-H showmanship and obedience judge. She is also in the process of getting her Canine Good Citizen Evaluators Accreditation.
Dawn lives with her husband Tim, two beautiful daughters -- Madison and Emma, 8 dogs, 2 goats, 4 horses and three cats.
